FEATURES
Heat-resistant silicone organic varnish КО-049 is a solution of polymethylphenylsiloxane resin in toluene or xylene.
APPLICATIONS
- Applied as a binder in the production of heat-resistant enamels of cold drying (e.g. enamel KO-822, enamel KO-828)
- To protect parts, continuously operating at temperatures up to +300°C – +400°C.
Advantages

Packing
The varnish KO-049 is packed in steel drums up to 200 liters, steel drums up to 50 liters, steel pails up to 20 liters.
Surface preparation Remove dust, dirt, iron oxide, rust, grease and other contamination (metal surface should be cleaned at least to grade St3 or Sa 21/2, in accordance with the International Standard ISO 8501), de-dust and degrease with organic solvents.
- Application of enamel KO-822
- Apply 2-3 coat of the enamel by air or airless spray.
- Dry each coat at a temperature (18-23)°C for 2 hours.
- Apply next coat after previous coat is completely dried.
- After 2 hours since the application of last coat, dry additionally the whole coating at a temperature (200-250)° C within 2 hours (drying at temperature (18-23)°C is permissible too, but in this case the enamel coating will be not resistant to gasoline, kerosene, synthetic oils). Recommended thickness of each coat is 12-15 microns at total thickness of the whole coating not exceeding 50 microns.

Store in a cool, dry, well-ventilated place, away from heaters. Protect from moisture and direct sunlight. Store in airtight containers at a temperature from -30°C to +35°C.
